Present from Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides Directly to Google Meet

Updated: Mar 23

Hello everyone! I am excited to share a new Google Meet feature with you - the ability to present directly from Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides to Google Meet.

When you click on the present icon, you will see a list of your meetings for that day. Select the meeting you want to present to and click “Present Tab to Meeting”.

For a step by step guide on how to use the new feature, click here.

Many of us use Google Meet all day long and this feature will help streamline sharing documents and presentations in meetings.

In a school, this will allow educators to cleanly share documents, presentations, and spreadsheets with students without the added distraction of colorful desktop backgrounds, bookmarks and tabs.

For those of us who have previously used a separate computer to share presentations cleanly without background distractions, the Present from Docs, Sheets, and Slides feature coupled with the updated Google Meet interface is a timesaver.

Depending on your admin, you may already have access to this feature, but if you don’t yet, you’ll get access to it within the next month.

This feature is just one of many that Google is releasing in their effort to transform collaboration in Google Workspace. Check out the video below to learn more about upcoming collaboration features. The new Google Meet feature is previewed at 0:37.

If you are interested in making the switch to Google Workspace for your school or business or would like to know more about upgrading your current Workspace package to access more security and collaboration tools, please reach out to us at LogicWing.com. We’re happy to help.
